Zebulon — Knightdale and East Wake both suffered losses in week seven to Garner and West Johnston, respectively.

The Knights went up 10-0 before the Trojans answered with 31 unanswered points from the second quarter forward.

Garner out-rushed the Knights 304-218 and out-passed the Knights 67-34.

The loss leaves Knightdale at 3-4, 2-1 in the Greater Neuse. The team faces Holly Springs on the road this Friday.

East Wake fell behind 21-0 by the halfway point in Friday's game against the Wildcats.

The defense held West Johnston, a 7-0 undefeated team and top prospect in the triangle region, to zero points in the second half. Quarterback Greg Jones snuck in for the first of two touchdowns for the Warriors. The other came on a fumble recovery in the West Johnston end zone.

The team got within a touchdown, 21-14, but couldn't find the tying score.

The Warriors are now 1-5 heading into homecoming weekend, when they play Southeast Raleigh this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
