Wendell - A blocked field goal ended East Wake's scoring and Southeast Raleigh came out on top, 19-7, on homecoming night for the Warriors, Friday.The Warriors blocked two kicks of their own to keep the score 12-7, Southeast, at the half. Mike Engles rolled out on a fake run and completed a pass to Travis Pace for the Warriors' first and only score. Mike Paye made the extra point.The Bulldogs scored their final touchdown in the fourth quarter, after a defensive third quarter from both parties, and after Warrior quarterback Greg Jones threw an interception that left the visitors on the East Wake seven yard line. A good rushing effort from Gus Goodsen left Warrior fans wanting more, but he would later bobble a handoff and Southeast recovered with less than four minutes left in the game.The Warriors last two tries turned out to be one as Jones threw a pick, allowing the 'Dogs to run down the clock.East Wake is now 1-6, 1-3, tied with Holly Springs in the Greater Neuse conference.
